Black Myth: Wukong - Staff Techniques

In addition to the basic light and heavy staff techniques, there are:

  • Chop Staff Technique (Z)
  • Stand Staff Technique (X)
  • Thrust Staff Technique (C)
  • Staff Flourish (V)

Light Staff

The light staff technique involves multiple consecutive attacks.

It not only efficiently damages enemies but is also suitable for building up staff momentum.

After acquiring certain talents, rolling and dodging between light staff moves will not interrupt the combo.

The light staff has five segments, and each hit can accumulate staff momentum in the lower right corner, with the final segment capable of building a large amount of momentum.

Heavy Staff

The heavy staff technique involves a single powerful strike.

It consumes staff momentum for a strong hit, dealing high damage and causing knockback.

A higher staff momentum level significantly enhances the impact of the hit.

Quickly executing a heavy staff strike will consume all accumulated momentum to enhance the heavy staff effect.

Charged Heavy Staff

Holding down the heavy staff button will accumulate staff momentum. The momentum can stack multiple levels, and releasing it will unleash a stronger effect.

Maintaining the heavy staff technique will enter a charged state, rapidly accumulating staff momentum at the cost of stamina.

Chop Staff

The chop staff technique allows for charging while running, making it very flexible.

It is the preferred technique for engaging in a duel with the opponent.

Stand Staff

The stand staff technique allows for charging to reach the tip of the staff, extending and retracting freely.

While dodging ground attacks, it can also perform wide-range counterattacks.

It is a preferred technique that balances offense and defense.

Thrust Staff

The thrust staff technique requires you to remain stationary while charging, allowing you to strike enemies from a distance, particularly effective against direct attacks.

It is a preferred technique for seeking victory through stability.

Staff Flourish

A standalone staff technique that involves spinning the staff in front and behind the body, capable of deflecting projectiles or dealing some damage. You can use the staff flourish while approaching the enemy to deliver a strike.

Dodge

Rolling at the moment the opponent attacks allows you to evade!

If you successfully avoid their strike, you can accumulate more staff momentum.

Break Shield

Against opponents holding shields, they can block regular attacks with their shields.

If you manage to break the shield, they will enter a brief state of weakness and knockback, making certain spells particularly effective.

Transform Move

If you follow a light staff combo with a heavy staff strike, it can evolve into a transform move.

If the first transform move hits the opponent, it can evolve into a second move.

Transform moves will also consume staff momentum levels.

Stand Staff Transform Move

In the stand staff technique, following a light staff combo with a heavy staff strike can consume staff momentum levels to unleash a unique transform move.

The stand staff transform move can hit all nearby enemies, making it a good option when surrounded and struggling to escape.

Thrust Staff Transform Move

In the thrust staff technique, following a light staff combo with a heavy staff strike can consume staff momentum levels to unleash a unique transform move.

The thrust staff transform move can rapidly stab enemies in front, dealing considerable single-target damage in a short time.

Chop Staff Transform Move

In the chop staff technique, following a light staff combo with a heavy staff strike can consume staff momentum levels to unleash a unique transform move.

The chop staff transform move allows you to leap forward, rolling and swinging the staff down on the enemy, dealing considerable damage while also causing some knockback. The more momentum you accumulate, the higher you leap, and the longer the staff becomes.

Staff Counter

If both sides attack simultaneously, your staff can hit the enemy and interrupt their attack, causing some knockback.
